Known as the home of golf, St Andrews also plays host to the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and St Andrews Links Trust which manages the oldest golf course in the world (The Old Course). This along with some of the other great golf courses can be found in the surrounding area well as the oldest university in Scotland.

For some, the main attraction of St Andrews is the golf but that is only part of what St Andrews has to offer with its many historical buildings and places such as the cathedral or maybe the remaining walls of the medieval town itself. To top it all it boasts miles of sandy beaches and beautiful Fife countryside which all goes to make St Andrews a wonderful place to visit.

If you travel south out of St Andrews you will find the villages of the East Neuk of Fife with their picturesque harbours and small narrow streets. Where you can visit places such as a working fish market, the Scottish Fisheries Museum and where boat trips to the Isle of May are amongst the many thing to do. If you travel to the north you will find the city of Dundee (The City of Discovery) where Captain Scott set sail in 1901 on board the tall ship RS Discovery on his Antarctic Expedition. Today you will find the original ship which has is now set in a dry dock and has been turned into a museum.
